Mixed Emotions

Hi there,Over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles they put out this months new challenge ( This month’s challenge is to scrap about a "not-so-happy" moment in your life.) that's not so hard since most of my scrapbooking is based on my daughter Stephanie, so I decided I would do an even that happened just a month after her passing November 2, 2013 Stephanie's Birthday... It was really hard she would of only been 14 year old...we decided we were gonna do a balloon release with 14 balloons, well her friends had their own ideas..they put together an anti bullying walk/rally over 50 people showed up for this event...the walk ended at the balloon release site which also happened to be one of Stephanie's favorite spots by the lake...It was a sad day but I was so touched by my friends and family and it was amazing to see how much Stephanie meant to so many people!
So I used the sketch from Sketchabilities and this is what I came up with!

Here is the sketch I used....

I really love my photoshop...I found these really cool brushes that had song lyrics...I'm not sure of the song this one goes to but it just fit!
just another view of my silly flowers...I was playing around and just liked them...would look better if I could color a circle!

thanks for taking a peek......Have a wonderful day!

  6. Buffy, I can't imagine having to remember year after year that your baby is no longer with you. I applaud the way you've chosen to remember and celebrate her life every year on her birthday, it is so honouring of all that she was, and continues to be in her heart. I think it's wonderful that her friends all organized the anti-bullying walk in her honour. How wonderful that you were able to end it with the balloon release. Sounds like a really special event. Thank you for sharing your story with us at Scrapping Everyday Miracles. And congratulations on winning over at Let's Get Sketchy also :D

I still expect to get a text saying Hi or an IM on Fb asking what games I'm playing...I just take it day by day....some days it just doesn't seem real like its all just a really bad dream and I'll wake up at any moment!

  8. Oh my friend you made me cry. Your layout is so touching. I am so sorry about your daughter. Your balloon release idea was fabulous and the outpouring of friends and family was surely a comfort to you. So glad you joined us at Sketchabilities for our latest challenge. I have a friend who recently lost her 15 year old son to suicide and blogs about her feelings of loss. He was bullied too. She would love to connect with others if you are interested. http://riverchilde.wordpress.com/
